"Lost In Peucang Islands...."

Peucang Island is an island located in the strait Panaitan Pandeglang Bantam or east National Park Ujung Kulon.Dinamakan Peucang takes its name from a type of snail that is often found on beaches . The locals used to call it " eye Peucang " . " Peucang " also is a term in the Sundanese language to refer to deer .
The island with Panaitan Island and Island Handeuleum included in the Ujung Kulon National Park area so that not a few tourists visiting the Taman Ujung Kulon , also visited the island of white sand .
Because the area of ​​Ujung Kulon National Park , Island Peucang also accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site , along with Panaitan Island and Island Handeuleum .
As part of Ujung Kulon National Park area , on the island can be found a variety of animals such as elk ( Cervus timorensis ) , Java Banteng ( Bos sundaicus ) , Green Peacock ( Pavo muticus ) , monkey ( Trachypithecus auratus auratus ) , Deer , Wild Boar ( Sus verrucosus ) and Lizard .
Forest Peucang Island is one of the ecosystems of lowland tropical rain forest . Flora in this region among merbau ( Intsia bijuga ) , palahlar ( Dipterocarpus haseltii ) , bungur ( Lagerstroemia speciosa ) , luminous ( Pterospermum diversifolium ) , and ki rain ( Engelhardia serrata ) . There was also a strangler fig tree or Ficus , a parasitic plant that is wrapped around another tree to live . Usually the host tree will die if the fig into adulthood .
The beach is very beautiful island with white sand with sea green bluish . The blue color of the sea is ideal for swimming , diving , fishing , or snorkeling .
In this island there is also a waterfall in Citerjun .
