Mount leuser National Park
Gunung Leuser National Park or TNGL located on the border of Aceh with North Sumatra. In Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, TNGL in Singkil district, South Aceh, East Aceh and Gayo Flexible, and in North Sumatra in Langkat District.
To reach the tourist sites, visitors can go through the route of Medan, North Sumatra towards Kutacane, Aceh Tenggara (which is approximately 240 km) with a travel time of approximately eight hours to drive the car. Then from Kutacane to the major tourist sites or Ketambe Gurah takes about 30 minutes to drive a car with more or less travel distance as far as 35 km. If visitors want to tour sites Bohorok or Bukit Lawang, more easily traveled through the field which is approximately 60 km to drive the car about 1 hour. Likewise, if visitors want to tour sites Sei Betung more easily be reached from Medan to drive the car about 2 hours with the distance approximately 150 kms. Gunung Leuser National Park is a representative type of coastal forest ecosystems, and lowland tropical rain forests to mountains.
Almost the entire area is covered by dipterocarp forest thick with several rivers and waterfalls.
